I was thrilled to premier my new 50mm f1.2 lens from Canon - my New Years resolution is to shoot only using fixed lenses and available light to make the most of the prime lenses low light capabilities to better capture the atmosphere of wedding venues. Thanks to the quality of these new lenses, flash-light as a necessary evil will become a thing of the past except in the darkest of situations. I think this new approach has produced some excellent, atmospheric results, even in candle light where previously it just wasn't possible to shoot without a flash.
Anyway, one step closer to flash liberation. Happy days...

Well done Lena!
ReplyDeleteI must say that you really did a splendid work; never interrupting or disturbing, yet finding those perfect settings due to your experience and preparations in terms of scouting the grounds. Furthermore, I've never seen anyone so dedicated to their task! I hope you haven't caught a cold from all the jumping around in the snow in order to get the perfect angles. I very much look forward to see more of the final results from the big day.
Thank you!

Thank you so much Lena!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see all the other pictures too.
Of course I reiterate what Erik said, but also technically, I applaud the pictures inside in the festmagasinet are so crisp and you managed to find the exact setting to capture the unique candlelit atmosphere.
Well done and thank you.
