GILLIAN & HAMISH

Back at Glenalmond Chapel - a lovely wedding venue situated on the grounds of a boarding school up in Perthshire. The place makes me think of Hogwarts. Magic wee spot!

The wedding was a wee 4 hour number so no pics of the bride getting ready. Even though I really like doing those kind of shots because it's such a personal part of the day, I couldn't help enjoying having some more time prior to the wedding. Less stress is always a bonus I suppose... Anyways, the party was held at the ever so imposing Doubletree Dunblane Hydro Hotel I'd imagine one can get lost for days in that place.

Below are a few nice ones of the day. Njoy!

Louisa & Kevin's garden party in the rain

On the rainiest summers day of the year (or quite possibly even the past decade) Kevin & Louisa tied the knot at Kildrummy Castle Gardens just south of Aberdeen, Scotland. The plan was to have a relaxed garden party, complete with giant jenga, skipping ropes, picnic sets and candle lit lanterns- all prepared, gathered and organised by the ever so fabulous Rebecca at Rebecca Barnett Wedding Design. If you ever need a hand planning a wedding she's a relentless source of inspiration. check her out, it's definitely worth it!

The weather Gods however had other plans for the wedding day and the rainfall eliminated most grass related games :0) The atmosphere however was fantastic (wet, but brilliant) with plenty fun still going on.

Below are some of my favourite shots of the day.

Willemijn & Colin

Willemijn & Colin got married at Dalhousie Castle on one of those typical four-seasons-in-an-hour Scottish summer days.

I am pleased that I'm winning my self declared flash gun war. At this wedding I didn't even bother attaching them onto my cameras. All thanks to some top quality Canon lenses and some guts to see the plan through. Relying on the flash when the light is fading is so much easier and I suppose safer than not using one, but the result one can get without makes it really worth the extra effort. On top of that nobody knows you're there which always leaves scoop for better pictures...:0)

Below are some of my favorite pictures of the wedding day.

Portobello Beach

I was walking along the Porty Beach in Edinburgh the other day and came across a rather marvellous looking installation made out of old arcade games. Luckily my long suffering assistant Jess was around to pose it out for us. She is a darling so she is... Good times!

Mez & Minnie Wonder

Whilst in London shooting an array of commercial jobs I caught up with the ever so fabulous Mez Lowni and her wee daughter Minnie Wonder. I don't normally do family pictures, although I'm more than willing if you'd like me to ;0). Those were taken at The Big Chill Bar just off Brick Lane - one of my favourite watering holes in the big smoke... Njoy!
