Willemijn & Colin

Willemijn & Colin got married at Dalhousie Castle on one of those typical four-seasons-in-an-hour Scottish summer days.

I am pleased that I'm winning my self declared flash gun war. At this wedding I didn't even bother attaching them onto my cameras. All thanks to some top quality Canon lenses and some guts to see the plan through. Relying on the flash when the light is fading is so much easier and I suppose safer than not using one, but the result one can get without makes it really worth the extra effort. On top of that nobody knows you're there which always leaves scoop for better pictures...:0)

Below are some of my favorite pictures of the wedding day.

The photos are amazing Lena! They really capture the moment. We have struggled to narrow them down to just 80. Can't wait to see the album! Lots of love,

  2. Hi Lena,

I love the first picture of the brides dressing but as a fellow photographer I can't work out how you captured so much of the light and shade detail. Do you use fill flash? It doesn't look like it but I'm sure I couldn't capture that amount of detail without it. Any pointers?

  3. Hi Colin,

I only shoot in available light, so it's just a case of finding the right balance when measuring the light. The spot meter is sometimes handy. Happy snapping!
